Please, whatever you do, do not book this property. Positive: Absolutely nothing. Negative: Please, whatever you do, do not book this property. The host did not contact us once throughout this entire ordeal, not the day before arrival, not on the day of arrival, nothing. We had to chase them every single time. It was only after we went out of our way to contact them that they suddenly told us there was a “problem” with the flat. The story did not even add up. They claimed they only found out a few hours earlier, but then said they had guests the day before, meaning they would have already known about this issue. They completely caught themselves out in their own lie. We were then given constant excuses about a broken boiler and told repeatedly that they were “calling” and “waiting” for a boiler repairman. Each time they promised to call us back with updates and never once did. We were always the ones having to chase them, all while we were already travelling and nearly at the property. After multiple calls, once we had actually arrived in the area, the host casually told us, in the most uncaring and unbothered tone, that we would not be staying there and that they would be cancelling our booking. No warning. No concern. No apology. This left four young girls, over four hours away from home, stranded late at night in an area we did not know. We explained this clearly to the host, and they blatantly showed that they did not care at all. Not once did they apologise. To make matters worse, the host then wasted even more of our time by claiming they would find us an alternative property. This was clearly another lie. They strung us along while precious time passed, time we could have used to find a genuinely reliable and safe place to stay. This host put us in an incredibly dangerous and distressing situation through sheer negligence and dishonesty. This behaviour is completely unacceptable and unforgivable. Avoid this property at all costs.

Not pleasant Positive: Not much Negative: Dirty

It's not so nice in Catford Positive: I like that the kitchen and bathrooms were newer. There is a bus stop right in front of the house. Negative: The neighbourhood was not great. It's run down, and locals told us that it's a sketchy area. We didn't walk around the area in the evening. We had no issues during the day catching the bus or trains. Saying that, the house is on the outskirts of London City, you will need to take a train into the city centre. I should mention that it's on a VERY BUSY main road so there is road noise. The exterior of the home was unkept and dirty. There was debris on the floor between the two indoor doors. The backyard was full of garbage and debris and overgrown with weeds, and several foxes hung out there. The ad said they had a grill, but they did not have a BBQ. No shampoo or body wash available. There is no hand soap in either bathroom. No dish soap other than a small amount leftover that wasn't enough to wash dishes with. There is no dishwasher. Two half rolls was the only toilet paper originally provided. No garbage bags were provided, and the second bathroom had a used maxi pad in the garbage from the prior user. The home was not pre cleaned or was not cleaned properly prior to our arrival. I don't believe that the cleaning was not complete due to our early afternoon check in. The cleaners are not doing a thorough cleaning. Dryer trap was as thick as a scarf as well. I did not pay for the early check-in fee. The walls inside the flat were dirty and there are spider webs everywhere. The floors were not vacuumed or washed prior to our arrival. The second bedrooms bed sheets were not changed from the previous person. Gross!! They were navy blue and had stains on them. One of the showers was not usable upon our arrival for a couple of days due to being clogged. The property manager Christian was advised of the above deficiencies and the next day he brought bed sheets, 4 small rolls of toilet paper for our 9 night stay, 2 small paper towel rolls, garbage bags, 2 body washes, 2 hand soap bottles, clean sheets.
